HWB delivers successful recruitment briefing

Southampton-based chartered accountants HWB is helping recruitment specialists across the region understand some of the issues the sector faces.

HWB organised a special breakfast briefing to discuss the impact of various issues including UK economy and growth, EU workers, regulations, changing trends and the Agency Worker Bill 2008 – to name just a few.

Businesses from across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire took up the offer to attend the recent morning seminar at Hotel TerraVina in Netley Marsh.

The event provided a unique forum for businesses to debate key issues supported by the advice and guidance of the HWB team as well as two representatives from Lloyds TSB – commercial finance professional Steve Edwards and recruitment finance division specialist Helen Hesketh – and Sarah Whitemore of Warner Goodman Solicitors.

Alan Williams of HWB said: “This was the first recruitment briefing we have organised and it was extremely well received.

“Our aim was to facilitate an informal event to provide an opportunity for recruitment specialists to discuss issues they face in every day business and offer them advice and guidance from professional experts.

“We joined forces with representatives from Lloyds TSB and Southampton-based Solicitors Warner Goodman to deliver this successful briefing and I would like to thank them for their support.

“We are extremely pleased with the outcome and we plan to organise a similar event in the future.”
