Corporate Social Responsibility

Our Commitment to Community

Supporting the communities we serve is a core part of who we are. We believe businesses have a responsibility to make a meaningful, positive impact — not only through the work we do, but through the way we support charities and causes that matter.

Each year, our team selects a Charity of the Year, allowing us to focus our fundraising, volunteering, and awareness efforts where they can make the greatest difference. This approach helps us build long‑term relationships with local organisations and ensures our support is purposeful, consistent, and genuinely helpful.

Charity of the Year 2026/27: Sophie’s Legacy

Sophie’s Legacy is a charity created in memory of Sophie Fairall, dedicated to improving the experience of children undergoing cancer treatment and supporting their families. Their mission includes:

  • Campaigning for better food and facilities in children’s hospitals
  • Providing support for families facing childhood cancer
  • Raising awareness of the realities of paediatric cancer care

Our team is proud to champion Sophie’s Legacy this year through fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and hands‑on support. Their work is powerful, compassionate, and deeply needed — and we’re committed to helping amplify their impact.

This year we are spending time as a team putting together Parent Packs for the charity, which contain the essential items a parent may need if they find themselves having to unexpectedly spending time in hospital with their child.

Various staff are taking part in fundraising initiatives such as a skydive, inflatable assault course and the Great South Run.

Our Previous Charity Partnerships

Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW

Last year, we partnered with Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW, an organisation providing essential services for people living with dementia and their carers. Through community events, fundraising initiatives, and team volunteering, we helped support their mission to ensure no one faces dementia alone.

Mountbatten Hospice

Before that, we supported Mountbatten Hospice, a charity offering expert end‑of‑life care and bereavement support across the Isle of Wight and Hampshire. Our fundraising efforts contributed to the compassionate, specialist services they provide to thousands of families each year.

Social and environmental responsibility

CSR is a vital aspect of a modern business, and accounting firms such as ours are no exception. CSR involves a self-regulating business model that ensures a company is accountable to its stakeholders and the public. For accounting firms, this extends beyond financial impacts to encompass ethical responsibility, philanthropy, and environmental considerations.

Our firm is dedicated to upholding the principles of CSR, integrating ethical, social, and environmental concerns into our business operations. We are committed to transparent CSR reporting and actively contributing to the betterment of society and the environment.

Our CSR journey has included actions such as:

  • Implemented a large-scale recycling plan, to reduce landfill
  • Continuous improvement plan for reducing paper in our everyday working lives
  • Recycle all IT hardware as standard
  • Replaced all lighting to LED for energy efficiency
  • Selecting a charity of the year which has been nominated by the staff and encourage them to volunteer and fundraise for this organisation
  • Actively contribute to good causes within the community
  • Ensure fair treatment across of clients regardless of age, race, culture or sexual orientation
  • Positive treatment of employees including additional benefits in excess of mandated minimums.

We are also reviewing our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions to establish our carbon footprint, with a view to reducing this wherever possible.
