HWB celebrates long-service awards while looking to the future

Expanding Hampshire based accountancy firm HWB has launched a recruitment drive as two experienced members of staff celebrate long-service milestones.

Associate Director Andrew Kershaw and Business Adviser Chris Wignall have both clocked up 20 years with the company.

HWB is also seeking to bolster key divisions with new roles set to strategically strengthen the firm’s core and growing sectors.

Andrew joined Smith Acreman in August 2000 as a trainee before HWB acquired them in September 2004. He is an expert in online accounting with particular creative industry expertise. In 2012, Andrew was promoted to Associate Director.

“The time has flown by and I have enjoyed gaining the vital experience and new skills from within the company to progress my career.” said Andrew.

Chris joined HWB on 2 January 2001 as a trainee. He specialises in accounts, tax, business and compliance advice to SMEs, including FCA registered businesses, and service charge certifications.

“In the time I have been with HWB I have seen the company grow with the addition of specialists who deliver intelligent, proactive commercial solutions for our business clients.

“I am proud to be a member of the HWB team delivering industry leading accounting and taxation advice,” said Chris.

Managing Director Geoff Rhodes said both Andrew and Chris were positive proof of the benefits of HWB’s accredited trainee scheme which offers participants a comprehensive study and work experience programme.

“At HWB we offer trainees the chance to gain a greater understanding of our varied service offering with secondments to different departments.

“Over the past 20 years we have seen sustained growth and both Andrew and Chris have played a key part in our success to date.

“It has been pleasing to see the progress they have made in their careers over the years and we offer our heartfelt congratulations as they reach this major milestone.

“We are also at this moment strengthening throughout all sectors as our business expands. Demand for our services is increasing across the board as we continue to serve businesses and organisations throughout Hampshire and the surrounding counties”.
