Download our helpful Tax Card for 2024/2025

Following the Chancellor’s Budget our HWB Tax Rate Card outlines the business and individual tax rates for the coming tax year of 2024/25. All the essential tax facts, rates and figures are provided in one handy PDF download, offering an easy point of reference all year round.

The most significant announcement was a 2p cut to National Insurance contributions (NICs) in April, on top of the 2p which was already cut in last year’s Autumn Statement. Workers will see their NIC rates fall by four percentage points in less than six months.

We have also seen:

  • A cut in the higher capital gains tax (CGT) rate on residential property sales
  • Reform in the high-income child benefit charge (HICBC) to increase the threshold.
  • The VAT threshold will rise from £85,000 to £90,000 in April, reducing the administrative burden for tens of thousands of businesses.
  • Abolishment of the furnished holiday lettings relief
