This will be relevant for taxpayers who want to make sure they are entitled to the full state pension.
HMRC is giving taxpayers (men born after 5 April 1951 or women born after 5 April 1953) up to 31 July 2023 to fill in gaps on their NI record from April 2006 onwards. After that date, voluntary national insurance contributions can only go back 6 years.
