Inheritance Tax at an all time high

Latest news suggests that HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) are seeing the largest ever increase in receipts for Inheritance Tax (IHT). The figure for April 2022 to June 2022 is at £1.8 billion, £0.3 billion higher than the same period last year. But there are simple things you can do to mitigate your tax bill, purely by better understanding the rules.

It is never too early to start thinking about inheritance tax as some planning options take time to qualify for tax reliefs or exemptions. We can check your current inheritance tax exposure, so you know where you are, and work with you to plan how to tax efficiently pass wealth down to future generations, without leaving you short.
