Digital filing reforms postponed for companies, which includes Charities that are companies

The plans to only accept online filing from 1 April 2027 has been delayed.

This is will be very welcome in the charity sector, as many charities do not use software solutions that can file online. The revised timeline will give more planning time and allow software houses to be ready for the change, which needs to allow for varied and complex reporting.

Companies House has noted that all companies will receive at least 21 months’ notice before any new requirements come into force.
