Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire

37.5 hours per week, 8:30am – 5:00pm

An established and successful accountancy firm in Chandlers Ford, we provide accountancy, audit and taxation services to both individuals and companies.

We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Receptionist / Administrator to join our busy Southampton office.

This is a key front of house role, acting as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, while also providing essential administrative support to the wider team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel, with good IT skills
  • Professional telephone manner and strong customer service skills
  • Well organised, able to prioritise and multitask
  • Calm, friendly and welcoming
  • Positive, reliable and willing to learn new systems
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ideally previously in a customer facing role as customer service is key.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to build rapport and relationships at all levels both internally and externally.

About The Role

  • Answering and directing calls via the switchboard
  • Welcoming clients and visitors and managing reception
  • Coordinating meeting rooms, diaries and refreshments
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post and scanning documents
  • Maintaining office, reception and meeting areas
  • Ordering office and kitchen supplies
  • Supporting billing, engagement letters and general administration
  • Assisting secretarial teams and directors as required
