This is a sector that requires specialist technical expertise and our team have many years’ experience supporting and advising managing and letting agents, landlords and block management companies. As well as accounts preparation and general advisory services, we are also able to offer assistance in a number of other specialist areas.
Many residential leases contain requirements for audited service charge accounts to be prepared each year. New guidance within Technical Release Tech 03/11 from ICAEW, the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has clarified the position on the audit and certification of service charge accounts and now is the time to review your arrangements to ensure your service charge accounts are being prepared in accordance with these new guidelines. Arising from this technical release, the only matter outstanding is the information that was regulated to be included in the Residents' Management Company or Right to Manage Company. More clarification on this information has been provided by the UITF Information Sheet 92.
We have a dedicated service charge team who have extensive experience in the preparation, certification and audit of service charge accounts and provide a fully outsourced accounting function to property owners and their managing agents. Click here to see an example set of service charge accounts.
